The 'Father of IMAX' has done more than nearly anyone to bring the wonder and grace of OUR World to millions via the massive screen. His work behind the scenes are equally laudable.

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

Just sent it out to everyone at http://macfreefilms.com. Doing my best to get you signatures. Hope it goes well tonight!

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

Amazing - Thanks Dane, you are such a good guy.

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

I just tweeted and FB about your brother's cartoon - it's incredible~

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

Hi Dane - I LOVE your cousin the "Plastic Bag Monster" and I just watched your brother Jay's cartoon and would LOVE to purchase a copy because if I'm not on a beach anywhere from San Diego to Malibu doing a cleanup, I'm in a classroom educating kids about what they can do to help!

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

Best of success in your campaign Michael. Long Beach just banned the bag on 8/1/11 and Seal Beach is not too far behind ~

I'm fully in. There is just no other way to effectively uphold our responsibility as a coastal community than to pass a formal ban on these toxic bags.

There are a lot of people out there who are philosophically opposed to "government intervention" in business -- but this is not a philosophical problem and it requires an EFFECTIVE, practical solution. Only a ban is effective. Studies have shown that massive, and expensive, public outreach and educational campaigns are helpful but still only about 6% of plastic bags are recycled. On the other hand a formal ban is 90-100% effective within a year. That's efficient, effective, responsible governance. Ban The Bag!

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

Thank you Ralph!

Re: Ban the Bag Dana Point- UPDATE

Dana Point is indeed a beautiful area; having enjoyed many years of the wonders of underwater beauty I applaud and support your efforts!
Thank you for caring and getting involved.
rlRalph Salas

Re: Inventor of the Boogie Board Tom Morey Gives Away Latest Innovation

Tom has single handedly put more people on waves than any other human in history, great idea for the SUP crew, love how he has "open sourced" it.
